I have not been this excited about a Disney movie in a long time. I mean Disney has had some good recent ones, but after watching them I never felt the "Oh yeah I love this movie," like I did with the older versions. Wreck It Ralph made me want to watch it again like as soon as it was over. If it wasn't a day rental I would have been down stairs watching again the next day.
The plot line is very simple the bad guy of a video game is tired of being the "bad guy." He leaves his game to prove that he can be the good guy. Let's just say bad things happen and he has to end up saving the entire arcade. The plot was very basic, It was the characters that sold this movie. Ralph, Felix, Colhoun, and Vanellope were just so funny, I found myself laughing, and just enjoying the film dynamics even more.
I'd rate this 9 out of 10, the only reason I give this a 9 is at random points (mostly in the beginning) I just kept losing focus. Thank god I wasn't in a theater watching this it could have been worse. So Last really good Disney movie?
This is a test to see if anyone actually reads this, because I don't post for two days and not a single comment. In fact I only got one comment on all forty blogs I've done. So for those that read this any tips?? What do you want me to write, because I could try something different.
Watched two movies last weekend and here are my thoughts on them.
Hall Pass
Given the trailer I thought this was going to be more funny than it was. The general plot of Hall Pass is marriage is falling apart, so to convince their guys they don't know what they're missing they get a week off of marriage. This had so much potential to be a good comedy. The jokes came off crude, and didn't work well. I felt just wrong after watching this. I honestly wouldn't recommend this film. Rated 2 out of 10.
Flight
I watched based on all the good reviews it has, and the Oscar nod. I won't say its a bad movie. The acting is superb. Denzel just knocks this one out of the park. The story is mainly about this pilot that won't admit he's an alcoholic. Other things happen, but he goes though so many lows you just want to throw the remote each time he grabs a bottle. Which makes it real cause all you want to do is shake him and say get help you need it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see a good film. It's one you have to be in the mood for or you won't like it. rated 7 out of 10.
I get to see Wreck it Ralph tomorrow, so expect a review soon!!
