Just me

The plan for today was to give you another double movie review  I wasn't all that excited about it. I was going to skip today and just post tomorrow, but decided against it. So today I will be talking about me.

Who here has been to a farmers market?? All those fresh veges straight from the farm. Makes my mouth water a little bit. I live now on a farm and was super excited to get going and grow some vegetables. Winter passed with no snow, so mid February I was like, "Lets get going on the Garden!!" Mom and I sketched out a rough plan, I started raking the dirt to level the ground. We even went to Walmart and bought seeds.
Well I'm not one for patients, so after we got home I set up the green house and started planted seeds.  It is the beginning of March and I now have little sprouts coming out. I'm super excited and then I realize it is still super cold outside. It's not freezing though so that's good, and they still have two weeks to go before I need to plant them outside. Main point any good pointers for gardens?? I hope it works!!!

Here's for pics of vegetable gardens I wish were mine.

Manga Review

Love So Life

I'm sure you guys have figured out the kind of stuff I enjoy. Lovey Dovey, family fun, adventure-action story plots, with a random sci-fi thrown in. This Manga is no exception.

This manga is about Shiharu a Junior in high school, who works at a daycare associated to the orphanage she lives at.  She was left when her mother got a job and never came back for her. Shiharu is not deterred though and loves taking care of the children that comes to the daycare. At the daycare twins Akane and Aoi, age 2, come to be watched while Uncle Seji works as a popular news reporter. Seji when seeing how the twins adore Shiharu hires her as a babysitter. Shiharu doesn't know though how to keep herself from falling for this makeshift family, when they all are so welcoming!!

This is just a heart warming just all around good manga. Even though it is still being written it's worth the wait.    All the characters are funny, and just a good read. This is a drama from custody battles, to love triangles, to school admissions. Its fun and when there aren't epic plot twists, or weird love issues you get to see two little twin cuties figure out what is happening in the world.  It took me awhile though to figure out one was a boy and one was a girl. They just looked so similar.

I recommend this who just wants a sweet heart warming story to pass the time. You can find it on Manga Fox and Mangareader, both sites update it fairly regularly!!

Double Feature Movie Review

Double Feature Movie Review

Watched two movies this weekend Taken 2, Perks of being a Wallflower. I loved both so lets begin

Taken 2

This wasn't as good as the first one right of the bat. That being said it was still good. The plot line had new twists, while keeping you entertained. The characters didn't really grow much, in fact it all seemed stagnate. The daughter was the main role that i enjoyed during this movie, because it should be what die hard did. The father teach the children how to survive events. I hope that wasn't to much a spoiler. The cinematography was amazing. I would recommend this for a night in action movie, you won't be disappointed. Rated 8 out of 10.

 Perks of being a Wallflower

This movie was an unexpected joy, not to mention tearjerker, bring a tissue.  I rented this based on the thought that this would be a teen romantic comedy. Which it is anything but. It starts out as you expect teen starting high school hoping to fit in. Meets some classy seniors that take him under their wings. Well they all end up having some kind of mental break during the movie, and try and work though it. I recommend this to any one looking for a piece of hope. That is the main theme in this movie, you can find hope anywhere if your willing to look for it.  Rated 9 out of 10.

See yea tomorrow!!

Food Review

Food Review - Creamy Broccoli

My mom and I made this last week for dinner and it turned out great.

The recipe I found on Allrecipes.com. To check out the full recipe click Here.

So first thing we did was put 4 cups vegetable broth to boil, adding 5 cups broccoli, and onion (It was like a fourth of the onion). Let it cook till onion was tender. After that we mixed 2 cups 1/2 and 1/2, and 4 tablespoons flour in a bowl. Once mixed we add to broth, as well as 2 cups shredded cheese, and cook till it thickens. Enjoy, And we did.

Mom and I both had seconds, and there was still some left for dad.

I recommend this on a cold day, it's simple, and fast.
